URGENT PRESCRIPTION ORDERING INFORMATION

To reduce the risks of spreading Coronavirus for patients and staff we will NOT accept paper prescription requests until further notice.  We do not want patients entering the practice exposing themselves or our staff to risk of infection. You should request your prescription in one of the following ways:-

*NHS App - available in the App Store (Apple or Android). It’s easy to use and you can order your prescriptions quickly and easily. You can even see when they've been approved by a GP.

*Go to PatientAccess.com - we can send you a link to get started in creating an account if you do not already have one.

*You can email us at prescriptions.mrmc@nhs.net

You need to decide where we should send your prescription electronically. It can be to any pharmacy. You will not be able to collect your prescription from the Reception desk - please let us know your pharmacy preference.

We no longer accept requests or produce paper prescriptions.

In some circumstances during this pandemic we will accept telephone requests for those unable to use the alternatives above, but you will still need to have a nominated pharmacy.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Named Accountable GP

Accountable/Named GP for All Patients

June 2015

The practice is required by the Government under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP.

Individual patients will be informed of their named accountable GP at the first appropriate interaction with the practice.

For convenience if you have a medical card your Accountable GP will be the named doctor you are registered with. Patients registering over the last 2-3 years will not have received a medical card as these are no longer routinely sent when registering with a new GP.

However, the practice does keep a record of your registered (accountable) GP. If you wish to be told the name of your Accountable GP, please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery.

Please note: there is no need to telephone the practice for this information.

Where a patient expresses a preference as to which GP they have been assigned, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request.

Having a named GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor.

Your named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to you. They will also work with other relevant health and care professionals, who are involved in your care, to ensure that your carepackage meets your individual needs.
